Title | An AI presentation to Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management EMBA programme |
Time | 9:30 – 11:00, July 13, 2018 |
Venue | Elliott Room, Knowledge centre, British Library |
Content | Dr Hao Ni was invited by Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management EMBA programme to give a presentation on her research for an AI and Machine Learning session. In her talk, she starts with providing a brief introduction to the machine learning and the latest development of machine learning applications. Then she explains how the rough paths theory provides a powerful feature set of data streams- so-called the signature feature, to summarize its effect effectively, which can be conveniently combined with deep learning to tackle supervised learning problems. Lastly she demonstrated several successful applications of the signature-based algorithms, e.g. online handwritten Chinese character/text Recognition, and video classification. |
